The CIS at the 81st Madrid Book Fair

Madrid, May 27, 2022 . The Sociological Research Center returns to the 81st Madrid Book Fair. The CIS will be located in booth 17 in Retiro Park between May 27 and June 12. There you can find some of the more than 600 books that are included in its Publications Catalog. You will also be able to consult the publications of the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies (CEPC) since this year we have a larger and more spacious shared stand.
This year the CIS will present its recently published book “Social changes in times of pandemic” at the Fair, it will be next Tuesday, May 31 at the CaixaBank Pavilion at 8:00 p.m. We will also have two signings scheduled: Carlota Solé, on Tuesday, May 31 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and on Thursday, June 2, Inés Alberdi will be there from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The main objective of the editorial work of the institution is to disseminate the most relevant research carried out in the field of social sciences, as well as to promote the exploitation of the data they generate to contribute to a better knowledge of Spanish society and thus offer way a quality public service to citizens.
Among the editorial activity carried out by the CIS Publications department, it is worth highlighting the Spanish Journal of Sociological Research (REIS) , a benchmark in the field of sociology, which for yet another year has achieved the Quality Seal (2022) that the FECYT awards. to Spanish Scientific Magazines.
Likewise, throughout the year various titles are published that are included in the different collections of the CIS and that cover a variety of topics: Academia, Contemporary Classics, Classics of Social Thought, Methodological Notebooks, Social Debate, Elections, Monographs, Opinions and Attitudes , Trajectories and Out of Collection.
It should be noted that the CIS has obtained the CEA/APQ Academic Edition Quality Seal in three of its collections: Monographs, Methodological Notebooks and Academia.
The Cuadernos Metodológico collection has also been awarded the Best Collection Award at the XIII National University Publishing Awards awarded by the Union of University Publishers of Spain.
You can consult all of these works in the Publications Catalog and take advantage of the presence of the CIS at the Book Fair to acquire those copies that interest you. If you prefer, we have a Bookstore, with home delivery service.
