Madrid, November 15, 2023 . The Sociological Research Center launches its new web portal today, November 15, with the function of unifying previously unconnected portals whose information and access were not very intuitive. This new website will facilitate navigation for citizens who use our portal in search of information about the CIS. The new home gives the organization a more modern, organized and innovative image.

The new portal offers a more innovative image of the organization, the contents are organized in a simpler way and navigation is also made easier for all users.

The page presents an innovative design, dividing the information into conceptual sections of greatest interest to the user. First of all, there is a carousel where the publication of the progress, studies, news, press releases or the most current calls will be highlighted.
Emphasis is also placed on access to content of special relevance such as the 60th Anniversary Exhibition or the CIS National Award.

Search for studies and surveys

In reference to the studies, the search for their content is unified through two search engines, one simple and the other more advanced, where they can be found by studies, questions or series, all intuitively and being able to select a wide variety of filters. The section dedicated to the library and the REIS magazine have also been renewed with a more visual and attractive design for navigation, which allows the user to improve the consultation of all the information.

Accessibility

The new portal presents a responsive design adapting its visualization for any type of PC, smartphone or tablet device.
With the entry into force of Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, on the accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices in the public sector, it is mandatory that institutional portals meet the accessibility criteria. One of the objectives of this reengineering was to comply with the AA criteria of WCAG 2.1 so that the portal was accessible.

The new web portal is distinguished by its clear and simple language, in addition to renewing the typography and modifying the CIS logo, combining the traditional one with a more modern design.

The portal maintains the possibility of translating its contents into the co-official languages of the state, as well as English and French.
Temporarily, until December 1, 2023, access to the old CIS web portal will be maintained at https://webhistorica.cis.es but new content will not be updated therein.
