The CCI stands at 94.4 points in July

- The Consumer Confidence Index increases 2 points compared to June and achieves the best result of the year
- The current situation index reaches 87.1 points, 4 more than the previous month, when it stood at 83.2 points
- The assessment of future expectations strengthens at 101.7 points
Consumer confidence stands at 94.4 points, which represents 2 points more than the figure for the month of June and the highest result in 2023. This rise in the index is mainly due to the increase in the assessment of the situation current, which improves by 3.9 points compared to the month of June. Furthermore, compared to July 2022, the CCI has improved by 38.9 points.
As for the assessment index of the current situation, it reaches 87.1 points this month, with an increase of 3.9 points in relation to that obtained in the month of June. This represents an improvement due to its three components: the assessment of the current economic situation increases 5.9 points compared to the month of June, standing at 82.5 points; the assessment of the situation of households that rises to 83.8; and the valuation of the labor market that reaches 95.1 points and represents a growth of 1.6 points compared to June.
The Expectations Index reaches 101.7 points this July, a result similar to that of June (101.6 points). The stability of this result is due to the assessment of the evolution of the economy in the immediate future, with 95.9 points, which decreases 2.7 points compared to June; to the assessment of the future situation of households, which rises 0.5 points compared to the previous month, reaching 107.9 points; Already expectations about the future of the labor market increase by 2.4 points, reaching 101.3 points this month.
The CIS ICC data are based on a representative sample of the Spanish population of 2,961 interviews carried out between July 24 and 26, 2023.
