The PSOE is positioned as the first force with a vote estimate of 34%

The Center for Sociological Research has carried out the monthly barometer for January with the usual questions such as the evaluation of leaders and ministers, vote estimation, the problems that most affect Spaniards and questions about international news, among other issues.

Regarding the estimated vote in the month of January, the PSOE reaches 34% of the votes, the PP 32.1%, SUMAR is in third position with 9.7% and VOX obtains 8.3%. .

Prime Minister Preference

Regarding preferences as President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez is the favorite for 30.4% of Spaniards, almost 14 points behind Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who is the favorite for 16.5%. Yolanda Díaz is the favorite for that position for 6% and Santiago Abascal for 4%. Isabel Díaz Ayuso has been mentioned by 3.8% of those surveyed.

Regarding the defined respondents, the distances increase: 46.7% of those surveyed who give their opinion prefer Pedro Sánchez as President of the Government, 21.3 points ahead of Feijóo, whom 25.4% prefer, with Yolanda Diaz in third position with 9.2%.

Assessment of leaders and ministers

Regarding the rating of each of the political leaders, Pedro Sánchez, with an average of 4.42, is the highest rated leader, followed by Yolanda Diaz who achieves a 4.40, Alberto Núñez Feijóo a 4.16, and Santiago Abascal 2.64.

Regarding the confidence that the President of the Government inspires, 34.7% of citizens affirm that Pedro Sánchez inspires them “a lot or quite a lot of confidence”, a figure that decreases when asked about the leader of the opposition, since 24.8% They assure that Feijóo inspires them “a lot or quite a bit of confidence.”

In this survey, the periodic evaluation of ministers is also carried out. The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, is the best rated with a 5.34, Ernest Urtasun, Minister of Culture, follows with a 5, the Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, achieves a 4.97 and the Minister of Transition Ecological, Teresa Ribera, obtains 4.93. It should be noted that the degree of knowledge about the new ministers of this legislature is very limited since the Executive was formed recently.

The former vice president of the Government and former Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, leaves office with a rating of 5.69 - the best in the Executive - and is known by 79.9% of those surveyed.

Regarding political parties, the PSOE is considered the party closest to its own ideas by 34% of those surveyed who give their opinion, followed by the PP, with 28.3%.

Economic situation

When asking respondents about their personal economic situation, 66% stated that their economy was “very good or good”, 10.7% “regular” and 22.5% “bad or very bad”.

Respondents believe that the problems that most affect them are “the economic crisis, economic problems” (37%), health in second place (17.6%) and problems related to the quality of employment (14. 1%) in third position.

Regarding international conflicts, the war in the Middle East is an issue that worries “a lot or quite a lot” to 70.3% of Spaniards, Russia's invasion of Ukraine to 68.3%, and climate change is the issue that worries the most. at 76.9%.

As for Christmas, 84.7% of those surveyed give gifts to family or friends during the Christmas period, 75.4% say they play the Christmas lottery and the Children's lottery, putting up the Christmas tree (73 .6%) have more followers than putting up a nativity scene or nativity scene (48.3%), and 57.5% make donations or help other people.

The data from this survey was collected from January 2 to 5, with a sample of 4,016 interviews and is available to all media and interested people on the website of the Center for Sociological Research (www.cis.es).
