Library
The Sociological Research Center Library is open to all users over 18 years of age who need to use its funds and services; preferably teachers, researchers and students.
The collection began in 1963 with the creation of the IOP (Institute of Public Opinion), the seed of the current CIS, since then its main function has been the formation, custody and dissemination of the bibliographic fund of the CIS and to support the research and teaching work. developed by the Agency. For this purpose, it has a complete bibliographic collection, both monographs and periodical publications, specialized mainly in topics of sociology and political science.
Services
- Bibliographic information and reference
- The library responds to general information, reference and bibliographic information queries in person, by telephone or by email.
- Consultation in room
- All funds are available for consultation in the Reading Room as long as their state of conservation allows it. Users must ensure correct handling of the funds consulted.
- Loan
- The loan of books is restricted to personnel linked to the CIS.
- Request the books in advance by email to biblioteca@cis.es
- Interlibrary loan
- Libraries and documentation centers that require it can request the loan of books and documents by sending an email to biblioteca@cis.es
- Desiderata
- Users can suggest, by sending an email to the library, the acquisition of bibliographic materials that are not in the catalog with the aim of enriching the collections.
