The award will be presented by HRH, Infanta Doña Cristina. In previous editions it has been awarded to Manuel Castells (2008), José María Maravall (2007), Salvador Giner (2006), José Jimenez Blanco (2005), Juan José Linz (2004), Salustiano del Campo (2003) and Francisco Murillo (2002).
The event will be attended by the Minister of the Presidency, Ramón Jáuregui, the President of the CIS, Ramón Ramos, and the President of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans and 2006 National Prize Winner, Salvador Giner.
