Advisory Board

The functions of the Advisory Council will be the following:

  • Provide advice on research projects and work programs of the center.
  • Be informed of the scientific activity carried out by the Sociological Research Center, know the reports prepared by each Department, and submit, where appropriate, proposals related to said activity.
  • Provide advice on all matters submitted to him by his President, on his own initiative or by the various public powers, related to the scope of the center's activities.

Current composition of the Advisory Board:

  • Mr. José Félix Tezanos Tortajada, President of the Advisory Council.
  • Mr. Pablo Torres Paniagua, Secretary of the Advisory Council.

Full University Professors or Professors proposed by the Council of Universities:

  • Ms. Esther del Campo, Professor of Political Science at the Complutense University of Madrid.
  • Ms. Mª Ángeles Durán Heras, Professor of Sociology and Research Professor at the Institute of Economics, Geography and Demography of the CSIC.
  • Mr. Francisco José Llera Ramo, Professor of Political Science at the University of the Basque Country.
  • Mr. Juan Montabes Pereira, Professor of Political Science and Administration at the University of Granada.
  • Mrs. Luisa Carlota Solé i Puig, Professor of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
  • Mr. Manuel Villoria Mendieta, Professor of Political Science and Administration at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid.

People of recognized prestige in the field of science at the initiative of the presidency of the Center for Sociological Research:

  • Mrs. Inés Alberdi Alonso, Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid.
  • Mr. Gabriel Colomé, Professor of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
  • Mr. Rodolfo Gutiérrez, Professor of Sociology at the University of Oviedo.
  • Mr. Emilio Lamo de Espinosa and Michels de Champourcin, Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid.
  • Ms. Constanza Tobio Soler, Professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

The following will attend the meetings of the Advisory Council, with voice, but without vote:

  • A representative of the National Institute of Statistics and another of the Higher Council of Scientific Research, appointed by the Presidents of the respective organizations.
  • The persons holding the Directorates of the Departments of the Sociological Research Center, as well as the rest of the organization's personnel who are summoned by the person holding the Presidency of the center.
