67% of Spaniards claim to have a "good or very good" personal economic situation
- In the last CIS barometer from May, the main problems that Spaniards identify that affect them personally most at the moment are the economic crisis and those of an economic nature (43.6%), along with health (22.9%). .
- Pedro Sánchez continues to be the favorite to be President of the Government for 32.8%, followed by Alberto Núñez Feijóo with 23.8%.
- Drought or lack of rain is very or quite worrying to 89.2% of those surveyed.
Madrid, May 17, 2023 . In the May barometer carried out by the CIS, citizens assure that they have a favorable economic situation . While 67% rate their personal economic situation as "good or very good" , 22.3% rate it as "bad or very bad". These data show that the percentage of people who affirm that their economic situation is good or very good has increased compared to the month of April , where it stood at 65.1%.
Regarding the problems that personally affect Spaniards, "economic problems" occupy first place with 43.6%, followed by "health" , which has become an important problem for 22.9%.

Regarding the preferences to be President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez continues to be the favorite for 32.8% of those surveyed, followed by Alberto Núñez Feijóo with 23.8%. Yolanda Díaz occupies third position and is preferred by 20.2%.
Drought concern
The lack of rain in recent months is a concern that has had a significant impact among those surveyed. Thus, 89.2% maintain that they are very or quite concerned about this situation.
This concern has also changed the habits of 70% of those surveyed , so that they claim to have changed their habits and 78% use the shower instead of the bathroom and on the other hand, 42.5% make efficient use of the toilets. appliances that use water . 82.2% of Spaniards believe that the actions of human beings (industry, cars, gases, construction, consumption, etc.) are influencing this drought a lot/quite a bit.
Decision to vote
Another of the issues included in this May barometer is the decision-making of voters when exercising their right to vote. 54.2% indicate that they vote for one party or another or do not vote, depending on what suits them best at any given time . 22.2% generally tend to almost always vote for the same party. And 16.1% say they always vote for the same party.
On the other hand, 22.4% decide which political party or coalition to vote for during the last week of the electoral campaign. 8.9% decide during the reflection day or on election day itself.
Vote estimate
Regarding the electoral estimation data, the PSOE is the first political force with 29.1% , the PP achieves 27.2%, SUMAR 12.3%, VOX 10.6%, Unidas Podemos 6 .1% and Ciudadanos would remain at 2.3% .
