The Consumer Confidence Index rises 4.7 points compared to last month
- The CCI for the month of April reaches 77.8 points, which represents 4.7 points more than the previous month's data
- It is the best data since April 2020, the date on which the index stood at 49.9 points
Madrid, May 5, 2021 . Consumer confidence rises in the month of April according to the monthly report from the Center for Sociological Research. The CCI reaches 77.8 points, an improvement compared to the 73.0 in March. This increase is due to the increase of 4.7 points in the assessment of the current situation, and the rise in expectations, which also increases by 4.7 points.
The Expectations Index for the month of April is 107.4 points, which represents an increase of 4.7 points compared to the previous month. This improvement is due to the evolution of its three components: the assessment of the evolution of the economy in the immediate future rises to 103.6 points, the assessment of the future of the labor market rises in the month of April to 108.1 , and the future evolution of the household situation is valued -0.5 points below the last month, obtaining 110.5 points.
The CCI for April (77.8 points) provides the best data since April 2020 , the date on which the index stood at 49.9 points.
This CIS study is based on a representative sample of the Spanish population with 2,793 interviews carried out between April 21 and 26.
