The CCI for December stands at 68 points, 7.5 points more than in November
- The CCI has increased by 12.5 points since July, when it stood at 55.5 points
- The current situation index grows 6.3 points compared to the month of November and the assessment of future expectations improves 8.8 points in the last month
Madrid, January 12, 2023 . Consumer confidence stands at 68 points in December, 7.5 points more than in November according to the monthly index of the Center for Sociological Research. The ICC figure has improved since July when it stood at 55.5 points, since then it has risen 12.5 points.
This increase in the index is due to the increase in its two components: the assessment of the current situation grows 6.3 points compared to the month of November and the assessment of future expectations improves 8.8 points in the last month.
The valuation index of the current situation reached 56.1 points in December. This rise in the index is due to the positive evolution of the valuations of its three components: the valuation of the current economic situation, which grows by 7.4 points, placing it at 41.3 points, the assessment of the situation of households that increases 6.7 points, reaching 61.5 points, and the assessment of the labor market that increases 4.8 points, reaching 65.5 points.
The Expectations Index reaches 80 points this December, with an increase of 8.8 points compared to the month of November.
The CIS ICC data are based on a representative sample of the Spanish population of 2,908 interviews carried out between December 14 and 22.
