The Consumer Confidence Index stands at 97.3 points in October, double that of a year ago

  • This month's CCI reaches 97.3 points, 48.8 points more than in October 2020
  • The assessment index of the current situation stands at 85 points, with an increase of 1.9 points in relation to that obtained last September

Madrid, October 29, 2021 . Consumer confidence stands at 97.3 points in October according to the monthly index of the Center for Sociological Research. A figure that reaches pre-pandemic levels and is double that of a year ago, when the CCI was 48.5 points. Compared to the month of September, this index drops one point, since it stood at 98.3.

Regarding the assessment index of the current situation, it reached 85 points in October, with an increase of 1.9 points compared to last September. This increase in the index is due to the evolution of three factors: the assessment of the current economic situation decreases 1.2 points compared to the previous month, the assessment of the labor market increases 6.3 points compared to September and in the case of the assessment of the situation of households there is an increase of 0.7 points in the last month.

The CIS ICC data are based on a representative sample of the Spanish population of 2,816 interviews carried out between October 14 and 20.
